The newly developed "TNS (Twin Needle System)" controls the damping force on the extension side and compression side entirely independently. With the compression independent passage, 24 stages of extension side x 24 stages of compression side, 576 ways of damping force adjustment can be realized without a sub-tank. Delicate settings are possible for all road surface conditions and tire conditions (heat generation, wear, etc.).
Equipped with a damping adjustment dial on the shock top (upper side for good type, lower side for inverted type) (extended side: blue dial, compression side: red dial), no tools are required for damping force adjustment. The sub-valve that controls the damping force on the low-speed side for both extension and pressure suppresses the decrease in damping force in the very low-speed range, realizes linear handling in the entire speed range, and improves traction performance.
The structure that the shock absorber body is one cylinder. By increasing the piston diameter and improving the valve etc., a delicate damping force is generated by a minute input from the road surface, and it follows a faster piston speed. In addition, since the cylinder is in direct contact with the outside air, it has excellent heat dissipation and exhibits stable damping force characteristics.
The shock oil uses high-performance low-friction oil that ensures viscosity stability at high temperatures and reduces friction while improving the sealing performance of free pistons and oil seals.
Full-length adjustment type" that the suspension stroke does not change even if the vehicle height is lowered. Achieves both fine vehicle height adjustment and high ride quality.
The double shot peening process has greatly improved the strength and settling resistance, and the tolerance has been made extremely small, enabling more precise settings than ever before.
A camber-adjustable pillow upper mount is used on the strut-type front, and a camber-fixed pillow upper mount is also available. A newly developed CC pillow upper mount (camber/caster independent adjustment type) is available as an option for some front strut-type models.
Only the strut-type adopts a ram-type where the piston rod extends downward from the main body of the shock absorber.
It is effective in reducing the unsprung weight, is strong against lateral G, and has excellent heat dissipation.
