Product Overview
The Azenis FK510 is Falken's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes, performance sedans and modern muscle cars who want dry and wet traction and handling in a refined package. The Azenis FK510 is designed to deliver driver confidence in warm conditions, so like all Ultra High Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
Falken Azenis FK510The Azenis FK510's 4D Nano Design tread compound is molded into an asymmetric, Adaptive Constant Pressure (ACP) pattern design. ACP improves distribution of pressure throughout the contact patch for enhanced directional stability and reduced stopping distances, and the wide, outboard shoulder blocks deliver the lateral grip required during performance driving. The tread compound was designed at the molecular level to optimize adhesion in wet conditions, and the Switchback Siping helps to maximize rubber-to-road contact during wet cornering. Four wide, circumferential grooves allow water to flow through the contact patch to resist hydroplaning.
Internal construction of the Azenis FK510 utilizes Falken's Tension Control Technology casing mold shape to provide a flexible middle sidewall area for reduced impact harshness and a rigid outside shoulder and bead area for handling capability. Its two wide, steel belts are reinforced by a hybrid Aramid and nylon undertread cap ply to provide added rigidity and high-speed stability.
Note: Ultra High Performance Summer tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.
